About The Colouriser

My name is Simon, and I have been restoring photos for going on ten years now. Once a hobby and now a career move, which I have loved ever since.

With the photo restoration niche, I think it’s important to provide a personal, friendly service, after all; dealing with personal mementos is a very sentimental subject. Being too impersonal and corporate doesn’t really fit this area of work, it needs a personal touch and a friendly approach.

When a customer really gets choked up and emotional over their newly restored photos, it’s a great sign that I’ve done my job well, in a way; it’s like a non-monetary payment.

I look forward to dealing with your photos, and of course, repairing and colourising them.

Credibility and past achievements

The photo restoration business has been doing well, having landed a few stories in the local papers, along with writing articles for family history magazines. We were very honoured to do some photo restoration for Channel 4 featuring in the ‘Dambusters: Building the Bouncing bomb’ documentary. We were tasked with colourising a photo of Barnes Wallis – The final photo was given to his daughter, which she said was absolutely brilliant.

I am also a graphic designer by trade, and have a studied B.A Honours degree in the field. Although, in my opinion, nothing beats personal experience and self-learning techniques.
